Estefania Mongrell was born in Ciudad Victoria Tamaulipas in 1994 and studied Art Education in the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Mongrell has exposed in the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art in Texas and several locations along the border of the Valley in South Texas. Her artworks consist in recreating sceneries and characteristics of nature as organic textures and colors. Mongrell´s process of creating bases in adding and integrating found objects as wells as organic forms into her artworks. She uses the pallet knife in order to create visual textures and to play with the lights by creating whimsical reflections in her pieces. Something that characterizes her works is the use of color in which the artist portrays her emotions to the canvas as well as the movement of the brush strokes.
