Originally from the Hudson Valley New York, she have made her home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico since 2009. She was formerly the owner of America House Gallery in Piermont, NY, and of Dragon Tree Design, a garden design/build company. After graduating university she made her living as a batik artist, showing at national and regional shows, winning a first prize from the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen annual Exhibition.

She studied painting with Mary Brenneman, Maggie Siner, Nick Wilton, Ian Roberts, Carmen Jimenez, Lourdes Rivera, among others in Mexico, the US and Europe.
